Some are destined for greatness . . . others for pure unadulterated misery.

After catching her boyfriend with another woman, Laura struggles with beginning again, knowing deep down that she is destined to be unhappily out of love for her entire life. Needing some time to recoup and formulate a game plan, she decides to visit her notoriously wise grandmother. But once there, a curveball in the form of a deliciously attractive stranger has her falling again.

Brooks is another story altogether. He is quite content with his life until his father forces him into a business decision that will ruin the rest of his life. As if his relationship with his father isn’t tumultuous enough, his new fiancé is making every waking moment a living hell and loving every manipulative minute of it.

When Laura stumbles upon her mother’s old journal, she opens a door into a long forgotten past. A past that somehow leads both Laura and Brooks into unfamiliar territory and changes everything they ever knew about fate.

Destiny is ever-changing, after all.

Destiny Everchanging eBook Tasha Ivey

Love this debut by Tasha Ivey! Laura is unlucky in love. She just can't seem to make the right connect, always falling for the wrong guy and the right time. After another failed relationship Laura leaves Baltimore to head back home to Alabama. Along the way she decides to stop by her Nana's house in North Carolina. Almost to her destination, she gets a flat tire but is soon rescued by a gardener for the house where she broke down. The only thing is the gardener is not really a gardener but Brooks Tucker, a wealthy son of an Oil Tycoon. Brooks is in NC with Jacqueline, his "fiance", and not by choice. He has been forced into a marriage in order for his dad to overtake her family's business. Jacqueline is cold and heartless and could careless about Brooks and his feelings.

Laura finds herself running into Brooks on more than one occasion and even those they have an attraction, they decide to just be friends. I really can't say too much more without giving the book away. But I loved this book. Laura uses her mother's old diary in search of her own love making this a heartwarming, lovable book. There is laughable moments, moments of heartache and redemption. Making this a well rounded book in my opinion. The book also wraps up nicely not leaving you hanging (although I hear there may be a book 2 in the series) Full of characters that hook you from the start (including Brooks best friend Will and his sister Ashton) it is a book that will not leave you disappointed! Go buy this book!

Destiny Everchanging eBook Tasha Ivey Reviews

OMG. This book was wonderful. I couldnt stop crying towards the end of the book. At the beginning I thought it was so funny when Laura said starting over again at age 22. Wow 22 years old is so young & talk about starting over at that age is crazy your life is just beginning. Anyway, I loved Nana. She was so cute. The whole book I believed was brillantly written. I still cant believe how much I cried. All I know is that Laura & Brooks found true love. True love is so hard to find. Have you ever been so deeply in love with someone only to find that they truly didnt love you back or that its one sided? I think that's what made me cry so hard the last few chapters. This book made me realize that true love is still possible & one day I may find my true love.
There were parts of this story that were incredibly sweet and I enjoyed. I liked the relationship between the two main characters and how it connected to the past. I thought the pace was good and the antagonists (male and female) provided counterpoints to the two main leads.
One of the things that I found distracting was the descriptions and mundane information dumps that added little to the story. (Like the flashlight on the key ring). I understand the author was trying to provide a justification for some things, but I didn't feel they were necessary. Some things should just be taken as a given.
Then there were other sub-plots that were almost cliched. Overall, however, I enjoyed the book.
Aww...Brooks, how I love thee! Seriously, what a sweet, HOT, endearing book boyfriend. This is definitely a character-driven story line. I loved all the characters even the naughty ones because they were well-developed and made me think the story was about them. Kudos to Tasha for that! I also loved the embodiment of the themes of fate, chance, and destiny. I can't say much here because I don't want to ruin this for anyone, but the way this plays out to bring our characters together was fascinating.

Laura gets her own paragraph and here's why. She is strong! She is no-nonsense, and I just love that!! Yes, she gets trampled a little in the beginning and does run. But she does it on her own terms, which leaves her strong and empowered.

My only wish for this book would be for some more sensual scenes between our two main characters. We had some tender moments, for sure. And I'm not asking for hot and heavy because I'm OK with not having all that. But we did need some moments beyond that build up.
I am such a sucker for a love story and Destiny Ever - Changing gave me just that. Tasha Ivey gives us a story of two people that have given up on the fact that love is easy. But to tell the truth anything worth having never is. When Laura seeks the comforts of home from her Nana, she finds Brooks "popping" into her life. Both Laura and Brooks struggle with the feelings this meet queue created. While Laura is looking to find herself Brooks is just trying to survive. As the story unfolds both learn that destiny has plans that either one of them planned on.

This is a true love story! I feel in love with Brook. He is a stand up man trying to do the right thing even at the cost of his own happiness. Hello what's not to LOVE!!! I enjoyed the fact that you are able to see this story unfold through his eyes as well as Laura. Both of their personal stories differ but through their pain they find that they cannot fight was destiny has in store. Destiny Ever - Changing is a must read for all hopeless romantics! You will love the story and Tasha's twist on a modern day love story.
The writing in this book was far and away superior to so many I have read lately. It was like the author took my hand and led me along the storyline she expertly paved through heartache, friendship, love, & regret. Laura and Brooks agree that because of circumstances beyond his control they can only be friends. They agree to this in spite of their natural rapport, rapidly building friendship, and a love that has no destiny even as it awakens their hearts and souls like neither had ever before experienced. I became personally invested in the characters and fell in love just like it was my first time. As their paths crossed again and again, and their circumstances seemed certain to lead to heartbreak, I held out hope that there could be a destiny that favored them. I hoped for Laura and Brooks even as I smiled, laughed and cried (& cried some more). In the end, well since it's the title of the book I guess it's safe to disclose, that they find that destiny is ever changing. Get this book and enjoy the journey on which it takes you! You will not regret a moment of it!
